Mosaic Dance Company is one of the premier Salsa performance troupes in the Asia-Pacific region. Helmed by Zee, MDC has been invited to many prestigious Salsa Congresses all over the world to showcase their creative and entertaining choreographies! Packed with some of the best talent that Singapore has to offer, MDC aims to create ground-breaking routines which push the boundaries year after year. Zee is one of the most sought-after instructors in the region, and is highly-renowned for his ability to break down complicated partnerwork concepts, and impart phenomenal technical prowess to his students. Zee also takes a very active interest in his students' development, and believes in imparting the right values, mindset and attitude to all his dancers. What do we believe in? MDC believes that street dancing is a constantly evolving art, and combining old and new is what helps to create cutting-edge routines which still retain the essence of the dance. We do not believe that performing and social dancing are separate, and striving to be better in one should also better the other. As such, we have a very high emphasis on lead/follow dynamics and techniques in training. Why join us? At MDC, we are very open-minded and believe that everyone has an amazing inner dancer just waiting to be nurtured. We will nurture that potential, and help dancers build a solid foundation on which they can grow however they want, as they seek to develop their own individual style. We do not 'mold' dancers, we help them strengthen their roots and encourage them to grow without constraints. Most importantly, we always want to have fun, and enjoying the process is every bit as important to us as producing an amazing result. ----- If you are interested in joining us, please come on down to our auditions, which will be structured like a workshop, where you will learn a short partnerwork and shine sequence. This audition is free of charge. Date / Time: 12 Mar, Sat, 6.30-8.00pm. Location: Mosaic Dance, 261 Waterloo Steet, Waterloo Centre, #01-22. Attire: Comfortable dancewear and proper dance shoes.
