About this Event

MOVEMENT LAB STUDY GROUPS Info evening for the 2025-26 programs Our study groups offer a process-oriented dance education rooted in physical exploration, creativity, and shared experience. At the heart our school is the understanding that engaging deeply with dance can profoundly shape the way we experience ourselves, relate to others, and navigate the world. DANCE AS A PATH TOWARDS THE BODY-MIND Do you ever feel disconnected from your body? Unsure of how to trust its intelligence, rhythm, or impulses? Dance has the power to restore that connection—not by thinking about the body, but by moving through it. In our study groups, our students train in ways that awaken awareness, refine physical skill, and spark joy. Through dancing, we learn to inhabit ourselves more fully, access energy, and express ourselves beyond words. DANCE AS A COMMUNITY PRACTICE Dance is inherently social—it thrives in shared spaces, in witnessing and being witnessed, in moving together. That’s why we call them study groups. Being part of one means not only developing as an individual mover, but also learning to listen, respond, and co-create within a group. Our programs foster supportive, dynamic communities where relationships grow through movement, dialogue, and presence—in training, in jams, and in everyday moments. WHAT WE ACTUALLY OFFER We offer year-long study group programs open to movers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Our curriculum includes contemporary dance, contact improvisation, partnering, performance practice, ensemble work, movement research and more. JOIN OUR INFO EVENING The online info evening (via zoom) will be divided into three parts - 1. Introduction to the spirit of our programs - our values, our motivations, the community behind it, etc. All the things that we really care about… 2. The practical stuff - days, hours, prices, bonuses etc. 3. Answering questions of the participants. The duration of the evening is 1.5-2 hours.
