The focus of the class will be on the landing pads that are mapped and descripbed in the Axis Syllabus. Exploring those alone, in a specific pattern and in partner work shall deepen the understanding of the concept that meeting the floor can be a soft experience. After connecting to ourselves, we will find the link to weight sharing with the idea of the landing pads within contact improvisation. ๐—”๐˜…๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐—ฆ๐˜†๐—น๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐˜‚๐˜€ As an evolving reference system for human movement the Axis Syllabus offers many ways to look onto forms of movement. Physical inquiry and research through movement combined with scientific findings form this study of human movement. The Axis Syllabus can be looked at as a lense to raise the potentiality of your own movement. For the practice of contact improvisation the Axis Syllabus can provide a softening of the movement with partners. It can help to get into and out of the floor together with a greater flow and improve the organization of one's own body to be in contact with one another. ๐—”๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜ ๐—ญ๐˜‚๐˜‡๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ป๐—ฎ Zuzanna has been deepening her embodiment practice under influence of various international contact improvisation and contemporary dance teachers. She is deeply interested in applying movement principles highlighted by the Axis Syllabus into the practice of contact improvisation, as well as the Underscore structure. Zuzanna started dance at the age of 4 and continued her embodiment practices through martial arts, ballet, yoga, modern dance, and Axis Syllabus. She is passionate about the impact of connection between body and mind which she continues to discover through her work in coaching, IT, and dance. Teaching dance, co-organizing the Thailand Contact & Movement Arts Festival, Warsaw CI Flow Festival and working as an IT Consultant gives her the balance between headspace and movement art. Energy exchange: 5 Euro The class will be supervised by Kira Kirsch. Photo credit: Inna Pavlichuk
