Venue: Home of contact https://maps.app.goo.gl/t2JinerXdpxoxx1S7?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy What to bring: *Please wear clothes for comfortable moving and good coverage for knees and elbows. *Your swimming suits, nose-clip or snorkeling mask, and towel if you plan to join the water session. *Your own water bottle, mosquito repellent. *Food and fruits for sharing if you plan to join the pot-lot (please try to avoid plastic usage if possible) Contact improvisation (CI) It is an improvisational dance form which first developed in the United States in the 1970s by a group of dancers and athletes gathered under the impetus of choreographer and dancer Steve Paxton. It involves the exploration of one's body in relationship to others by using the fundamentals of sharing weight, touch, and movement awareness. The dance then later spread to Europe and Asia and grew into an international community of practitioners with different emphases such as experimental dance (practice-based research dance laboratories), theatrical improvisation form, educational tool, social dancing and awareness and healing practice. Authentic Movement (AM) This meditative practice contains three important elements: the mover, the witness, and the empty space. The mover closes their eyes, entering the inner space, which is the ocean of the subconscious, following impulses and allowing movements to flow spontaneously, to be still, to be subtle, or to be significant, with countless possibilities, which is the free association of body movements. The witness, with non-judgmental witnessing, provides the most precious support for the mover's journey: sheer presence. Location: To get to Home of contact, use google maps link or type “HOC Home of Contact”, at the last right hand turn where you will see a sign for Chic39, the road splits, stay to the right, watch for the CI signs at the entrance, go down the driveway, park and follow the walkway to the house, go under the stairs to the ground floor. If you arrive at Chic 39, you missed the right turn. Paweł draws inspiration from practicing the Feldenkrais Method and everyday life. He enjoys learning new things, doing less (sometimes too much) and following curiosity and playfulness.
