We are very happy to meet you again in this new edition of Munich Tango Weekend. This time with the presence of two great dancers and teachers, Maria Filali & Sigrid Van Tilbeurgh, who besides presenting a full program of workshops, will delight us with a performance at the Deutsches Theater, with live music by the Cuarteto Rotterdam. Workshops programm 31/01-02/02/2025 * event for milongas is coming soon * - Friday, January 31: Private lessons. - Saturday, February 01 Workshops in the dance studio. Workshop 1: -"But who leads then...?" Changing Roles in Movement- designed equally and fairly for both roles and double roles. What is the common ground between the two roles? How to complement each other without opposing or blending? In this class, we welcome experienced individuals in their usual role and beginners in the "Other" role. It’s an exciting field of exploration aimed at facilitating connection and communication within the couple/duo, beyond the issue of levels or practice of both roles.. *1:00 PM-2:15 PM. Open level. Workshop 2: - Changing Distance in the AbrazoI - Designed for Both Roles and double Roles. Find intimacy in the open abrazo, creativity in the closed abrazo, without sacrificing the elegance of the semi-open embrace: balancing style and dynamics, the abrazo as an integral part of the dance for varying the expression and emotion it conveys. *2:30 PM-3:45 PM. Intermediate/Advanced level Workshop 3: -"El señor Giro" -intended for both roles and double roles. The goal of the course is to grasp this complex technical element in its entirety, making it both accessible and liberating. *4:00 PM-5:15 PM. Intermediate/Advanced level. - Sunday, February 02 : Workshops in the dance studio. - Workshop 4: -"The Ganchos"- intended for both roles and double roles. Starting from the study of individual movement, we will explore alignment rules within the structure as well as guidance techniques, to achieve organic and elegant ganchos. 2:00-3:15 PM. Intermediate/Advanced level. Workshop 5: -Boleos for fun!- intended for both roles and double roles. A movement that is the epitome of allure, the boleo also presents a technical challenge, both in individual execution and in the dynamic within the couple. We will explore this element in various forms to make it an organic movement, a source of pleasure and musicality in the dance. 3:30 PM-4:45 PM. Advanced level. Workshop 6: -Colgadas, a passport to flight... even in closed abrazo- intended for both roles and double roles. Learning small, delightful, and above all, risk-free colgadas that add all the charm to a dance. 5:00 PM-6:15 PM.
