About this Event
Join us on May 3rd from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm for an incredible exhibit of cars, delicious Mexican food, exciting Latin music, fabulous silent auctions, and plenty of dancing as we raise money for Soldiers Who Salsa. The museum closes to the public at 5:00 pm, yet our guests will enjoy private access until 6:00 pm, which includes the Muscle Car Exhibit, Celebrating 50 Years of American Horsepower. The San Diego Automotive Museum is also home to collections from Harley Davidson, Steve McQueen, and Louis Mattar's Fabulous 1947 Cadillac, a car that traveled non-stop from San Diego to New York and back!
In addition to the exhibits inside, your $40 ticket also allows you exclusive entrance to the outdoor party area behind the museum where La Taquiza will be serving handmade tortillas with your choice of carne asada, grilled chicken, or adobada tacos. We will also have yummy quesadillas, homemade salsa and guacamole, plus traditional rice and beans. Don't worry about eating too much - the music of DJ Rick"La Voz" Chriss will inspire you to get out on the dance floor, with salsa lessons and performances throughout the afternoon! Afterward, enjoy a stroll through world-famous Balboa Park.
Tickets will only be sold online through the Eventbrite link: autoswsalsa.eventbrite.com and a limited number of tickets will be sold at the door. Reserve your spot today, and bring your friends and family along for the fun! We look forward to seeing you there!
