Our favourite Frenchy, Michael Amouyal will be conducting a Salsa Musicality Bootcamp where you will acquire the knowledge you need to better hear and understand Salsa music as a dancer. You will learn the structure of Salsa, instruments and rhythms through interactive and fun exercises. *** ABOUT MICHAEL AMOUYAL *** Michael is a musician with several years of experience in percussion. He was a music teacher in France and facilitated many workshops for dancers. Passionate about Salsa music from a young age, he has learnt from renowned musicians such as Amar Chaoui and Miguel Gomez and likes to maintain his knowledge up to date. *** PART 1 - INTRODUCTION TO MUSIC & STRUCTURE OF A SALSA SONG *** In this section, you will learn about the terminology of music and how it is built. You will develop an understanding of the basic structure of a Salsa song including instrumentation and rhythms. *** PART 2 - BODY PERCUSSION *** Time to put what you have learnt into practice! You will learn to play the rhythms and dance to the instruments.
