Tuesday, October 15 6-8 PM @STUDIO 353 353 West 48th Street, New York NY 10036 2nd Floor-Room 3 MUSICALITY FOR DANCERS A 2 HOUR WORKSHOP by EL CACHIVACHE Orkesta -A bridge between musician and dancers to improve perception, connection and musical interpretation in movement. Vito Ventu (guitarra) Pacha Mendes (contrabajo) Andy Ferreira (piano) Adrian Devil (bandoneón) In the first 45 minutes, we will have a talk listening to and analyzing the different rhythms of tango music and a journey through the different periods and orchestral styles, listening to some examples of classical recordings and others performed by the musicians, live. Then, in the remaining hour, we will do some movement exercises, dancing and trying to identify, recognize and implement what was analyzed in the first part. The main idea is to get a better understanding of what we hear and thus achieve a deeper connection, both with the music and with our partner.
