Musicality & Improvisation Workshop!

Join us for our first in-person workshop at You Should Be Dancing Studios! This 2-hour workshop will cover the concepts and techniques necessary for developing greater musical expression in our dancing! We’ll begin with a warmup of drills and exercises, followed by a breakdown of how to consider and practice improvisation as a means for enhancing our own musicality (or music-ness). Finally, in the lesson portion, we will work on patterns of physical and musical variations to help us further understand the process of improvisation and how to express ourselves more musically through it. Open level - should have an understanding of the Salsa On2 basic step. Pricing: $50/person Pre-registration is required. Must be fully vaccinated & show proof at time of check-in.
