Aloha Honolulu Dancing Soul Bodies! Mystic Movement, a nomadic dance company, will be hosting a Dance gathering this Friday from 7-11pm. Class starts at 7pm. Location: The Healing Hale of Tantalus (If directions are needed for the event, please PM me, Lena Siemiesz, and I will forward detailed instructions) Class: "The Planetary Body" In this class I will apply an understanding of the archetypal energies of the planets and which part of the physical body they influence. The goal of this class is that we become more engaged with the energies of our own body and how to "tap in" to specific feelings in order to enhance our experience with the music, our connection to our own bodies individuallly as well as our connection with our partners. Class cost: $10 paypal.me/zoukdanceclass Social: Zouk and Estatic Dance Music A mix of Zouk and Estatic Dance Music will be played until 11pm. This is to welcome all styles of dancer to enjoy the experience, as well as encourage Zouk dancers to explore their movements with different sounds, rhythms and moods of music. It is also possible to pay at the door via paypal, venmo, or cash. Instructor and Founder of Mystic Movement, Lena Siemiesz: Lena has been a Latin dancer for 10 years. She has been consistently dancing and training in Zouk styles and techniques since the Spring of 2016 locally and internationally. By trade, Lena is a bodywork professional and is as fascinated about the mechanics of movement as she is about the artistry of dance. Lena has most recently toured Australia sharing her unique, meditative approach to movement and connection. She takes an avid interest in astrology and enjoys applying her metaphysical discoveries and understanding to the art of dance and movement. Mystic Movement is a movement: We are embarking on a mission into the infinite!! ∞ Embracing and Exploring... ***...MYSTERY ...through DANCE....*** Mystic Movement encourages participants to use their body as a vessel for storytelling, healing and connecting. When I become aware of myself and my inner experience, I can then begin to intuit how the body wants to move and flow with music. The language most important for connection and expression is the one we share in silence with our own heart. Only once you are aware of yourself can you truly be aware and sensitive to another. When we also learn to dance with ourselves, it gives new meaning to the dance with the other. Those new to dance are welcome to become familiar with the FREEDOM of their bodies and how they wish to experience the music. Everyone is also invited to apply their partner dance techniques to their expression, with an emphasis on Zouk as a core language. Mystic Movement offers classes that will enhance your skillfullness in both areas individual and partner-centered.
