Mystic Zouk Spring Equinox Celebration

Spring is in the Air! The Ides of March, March 15th, was a Roman observance of sacred Jupiter, the largest planet in the zodiac and the King of the Sky. For the ancient Greeks it was a festival to complete the celebration of the New Year leading into Spring at the Equinox, when the sun is directly above the Earth's equator. The Earth's axis is neither inclined towards nor away from the Sun, but directly beneath it. For the ancient Greeks, this time was a New Year's festival celebrating the expulsion of the old year. It marks the countdown of the last days of Pisces, the final sign of the Zodiac, commencing a new astrological cycle. Leave the past behind and step gracefully into Spring!! This is a time for self-assertion, individuality, and going your own way to achieve those aims that are close to your heart. Just as farmers know that by planting their crops in the springtime they will have a harvest in the Fall to carry them through the more difficult times, this is the time of year for you to focus on discovering the new you who is emerging. Let your spirits soar and actively create a new chapter in your life that opens the way to happy times ahead. Spinning in the Divine Portal Social Dance until Midnight ~~~~~~~~ Mystic Movement is a Dance company, nomadic event, and esoteric movement with the intention to unify mind, body and spirit through the study, practice and celebration of Dance. Our core partner dance language is Zouk. You are invited to participate in a workshop learning the basics of Zouk and movement techniques. Each Mystic Movement event will incorporate supplemental techniques from diverse movement traditions. The purpose is to train our bodies and minds for an enhanced experience of the movement through music and with a partner. Please come if: You are interested in developing increased sensitivity and awareness in your dance practice. You want to enhance your own spiritual evolution and emotional healing through movement. You are open to operating outside the box and welcome your peers to do the same with an attitude of acceptance. You want to connect with other conscious beings in a spirit of imagination, application and mastery. We expect all Mystic Movement participants to respect one another, each person's unique expression and desire to dance alone or with whichever partner they choose to accept the invitation to dance with.
