Kizomba Detroit District, Deejay LAYLA J, and Troy Dance Studio Present an all NEW MONTHLY SOCIAL happening at TROY DANCE STUDIO KIZOMBA CULTURA: 🌍 This monthly is dedicated to Kizomba and its roots. You will experience a taste of african & caribbean cultures though the music and the dances. Kizomba dance and music is from 🇦🇴 Angola, Africa with influences from other African and Caribbean countries such as 🇭🇹 Haiti, and 🇨🇻 Cape Verde, etc. Some of the music you will experience: Kizomba, Semba, Zouk, Konpa, Coladera, Afro House, Afro Beats, Guetto Zouk, and much more. Come enjoy good music, dance, socialize, meet new people, and reunite with friends. Some snacks and beverages will be provided. Later joining the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, and competing in several piano competitions. Dabbled in turntables as a hobby playing Detroit techno, and house music. Later discovered Kizomba and semba dance, fell in love and decided to dedicate herself to the dance, studying the music and the culture. Traveling and training in dance and music all over the world. Hosting successful monthly socials since January 2018, host of Kizomba Na Rua Detroit, and creator of Detroit Kizomba District, deejaying events through North America such as FamJam , promoter of events across the USA and overseas all which help bring more opportunities for the Metro-Detroit area to learn and grow in the Kizomba world.
