Nazca's Big Bachata Competition

On Friday March 27th Nazca Restaurant & Bar will be hosting the BIGGEST competition that it has ever held to date. 1st Place: $500 CASH PRIZE 2nd Place: 2 FREE PASSES to Jean & Fernando's ChaCha & Pachanga Workshops + Parties April 10th + 11th: https://www.facebook.com/events/1445241212433801/ This will be a PRO - AM BACHATA COMPETITION meaning that each couple competing will have to be a combination of a "pro" dancer with an "am" dancer - a more advanced "veteran" dancer with a newer or "rookie" dancer - a student with an instructor- etc. All couples will be competing at the same time in one big round to a bachata song that the DJ will choose at random. If the first round has a large enough group of competitors we will host a final round, narrowing it down to 3 couples. You do not have to prepare and rehearse a routine in advance in order to compete- spontaneous, impromptu, and unscripted bachata dancing is welcomed and encouraged just as much as prior preparation is! We want to see your own creative, interpretation of the essence of bachata, but will also be looking for clean footwork / technique / execution of steps, and of course correct timing! We will be having a special guest DJ from Pittsburgh and a photographer for this special competition night!
