In this class we will guide you through beginner & pre-intermediate level salsa. You do not need any experience to begin this class. Learn from the comfort of your home via ZOOM online and dance like no one is watching! If you have ever felt afraid to dance around people, this is a perfect time to try to learn. You can choose to turn your camera OFF on Zoom, or leave it on so we can see how you are doing and give feedback when requested. What can you expect in this class? In this structured series, we will teach you salsa foundations and move you beyond the basics so that you can transition into intermediate salsa after the 10 hours. Hopefully when the world is open and back to normal once again, you can take your dance moves to the salsa dance floor and party like it’s 1999! (Or like its 2019 LOL when we could move freely amongst other people!) After the 10 hours are completed, you will be able to graduate to our Intermediate salsa dance patterns classes if you decide to continue dancing and take it to the next level! (Salsa Dance Patterns expected to take place in November on Thursday nights at 7pm PST) SCHEDULE: 10 Hours Of Instruction Total First Class Starts Wed. Sept 2 at 7:00-8:15 pm (PST) for 8 weeks = 10 Hours of Classes Dates (Sept. 2,9,16,23, Oct. 7,14,21,28) . Part 1 "Salsa Foundations" (Sept. 2, 9, 16) Part 2 "Beyond the Basics" (Sept. 23, Oct7, Oct 14) Part 3 "Intro to Easy Patterns" (Oct 21, Oct 28) Is a Partner Required? - While no partner is required, we will be teaching partnering techniques and how to dance salsa with a partner. So, if you have someone in your household or a close friend/partner to dance with, you can both take it together for the price of one. You MUST watch from only 1 log-in if you choose this option. Max of 2 people. No exceptions. There will be no drop ins allowed because this is closed course and to get the full benefit of the classes, you need to take the entire 10 hours. Each week we will review the previous week's training but this class is taught with the intent of getting you to the next level!
