After the popularity of our last course with over 30 beautiful dancers, I am very excited to be holding an OPEN AUDITION for new dancers interested in joining our fierce and dynamic performance group for a third season! 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗗𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝟯? • Progressive dance training in Cuban Salsa, Timba, Afro-Cuban, Styling, musicality and technique. • The opportunity to perform with Las Reinas de la Timba at festivals and congresses in the UK and around the world. • Personal feedback, development plans and additional online classes to support growth and building confidence to perform. • Be part of a welcoming, diverse and supportive community of likeminded dancers. 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧'𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡? • The opportunity to train with international Salsa artists who will be invited to teach the Las Reinas de la Timba community. • The opportunity to attend social and travelling events with the Las Reinas de la Timba community. 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗘 𝗢𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦: 𝗢𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟭: Attend weekly intensive training sessions and PERFORM with Las Reinas de la Timba at professional festivals and congresses throughout the UK and around the world. 𝗢𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟮: Join our weekly intensive training sessions WITHOUT the commitment of performing. 𝗢𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟯: Be a Las Reinas de la Timba Team Leader in your city and teach your students one of our signature choreographies. This will include the opportunity to perform with the group depending on development during the course. 𝗢𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟰: Join our ONLINE training sessions and learn our NEW Las Reinas de la Timba choreography online. 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗧𝗢 𝗝𝗢𝗜𝗡: To be considered for the weekly training sessions or to join the performance group, you will be required to attend an OPEN LEVEL AUDITION class, or to provide footage of yourself dancing. This will be for me to assess your dance level and to provide you with personal feedback regarding which option may be best suited to your dance level. The audition class is equally an opportunity for you to experience the pace of our classes and to enjoy a taster of the content that will be taught during the course. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗨𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦: Learn a short, dynamic choreography to perform in the audition, incorporating musicality, Afro-Cuban elements and Cuban dance rhythms. Perform the routine in small groups with an opportunity to freestyle to a section of the music! Full explanation and details about the performance group and training options, including rehearsal dates and what we will cover during the course. 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻 • DATE: Saturday 1st April 2023. • TIME: 11 - 1pm. • COST: £10 (small cost to cover studio hire.) • LOCATION: BASE Dance Studios, London. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 • DATE: Sunday 2nd April 2023. • TIME: 11 - 1pm. • COST: £10 (small cost to cover studio hire.) • LOCATION: Studio25, Manchester City Centre. 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗺 • DATE: Friday 7th April 2023. • TIME: 7-9pm • COST: £10 (small cost to cover studio hire.) • LOCATION: Eloquent Arts Centre, Birmingham City Centre. 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲: You do not need to be an advanced dancer to attend the audition and compatibility for the performance group is assessed on attitude to learning and enthusiasm for the project, in addition to ability.** Due to the demand of the last course, the performance team may be split into 2 levels - Improvers and Intermediate/ advanced level. Level selection will be discussed individually after the audition depending on number of participants and the level of dancers that attend the audition. 𝗖𝗔𝗡'𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗨𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡?
