New Deakocan Dance weekly courses! Salsa con Manana with Osbanis & Anneta. COME JOIN US! The last courses available until September 2016!

We are sending you here the menu for the new courses :) starting this month. This slot of sessions will be the last available before summer then the new ones will be starting in September 2016, so don`t miss your chance and join us! :) Like in the previous courses we will include the joined groups sessions. It will be 3 out of 7- on the 26 April (week I),*exceptionally on Tuesday night, 1 & 8 June (week VI & VII) 8 -10 pm with both Wednesday and Thursday groups joining for the surprise classic sessions - DEASCARGA DEAKOCAN. Due to the reasons beyond our control, the studio is not available for our previously booked dates on 27 & 28 April, the booking management made a mistake and overlooked our booking and gave it away to a new customer just for this one off booking :( that`s is the reason why we`ll start the new course on the 26 April, 8-10pm, exceptionally on Tuesday. Here below is all needed info ;) we are looking forward to being back with you on the dance floor in few weeks and having you all again with us. AGUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Wednesday- 8:05 -10:05 pm ;) - 7 weeks, starting on the 26/04/2016- 08/06/2016- Dance Deakocan- incl.life percussion sessions! AfroCuban and Rumba applied to Salsa, This course will focus on developing & spicing up your style further, to explore your freedom of movement, incorporate elements of Cuban dances and movements in Salsa, and of course as always strongly focusing on musical interpretation. Incorporated in the course life percussion will help to understand better the rhythms & musicality of all the elements: Rumba, AfroCuban, Yoruba, Orishas, Son, Chachacha, AfroSonCha, Casino partner work, Rueda de Casino and other traditional Cuban dances like Mozambique, Pilon, Yuka, Makuta etc. you will understand better the music & learn about the response to the music, and deepen your musical interpretation skills. Each week we will focus on new subjects and repeat briefly coursework from previous week to build up on the level & confidence. This course is for advanced dancers, with previous experience in Deakocan courses. Thursday– 8:05 -10:05 pm ;) - 7 weeks, starting on the 26/04/2016- 08/06/2016- Deakocan Fusion- incl.life percussion sessions! AfroCuban and Rumba applied to Salsa This course will focus on the ability of blending casino with Rumba and AfroCuban movement, both in tiempo and contra tiempo, and feeling comfortable to use them freely in your social dance. You will learn how to enrich your style and technique in social dancing and appreciate the music through communication in movement. The important element will be musical interpretation and ability to express La Clave in your style and focus more on melody line & clave while dancing not the counting :) Incorporated in the course life percussion will help to understand better the rhythms & musicality of all the presented moves and dances & will give you experience and confidence to recognize the importance of each instrument in Cuban music & to be able to identify them. The content and structure will be similar to the Wednesday course, but in a slower pace, so as on Wednesday course we will also introduce manynew movements and dances with elements of Rumba, AfroCuban, Son, Chachacha, AfroSonCha, Casino partner work, Rueda de Casino, Rueda con Afro and other traditional Cuban dances. Each week we will focus on new subjects and repeat briefly coursework from previous week to build up on the level & confidence. * DEAKOCAN TWIST* In the week 1,6 & 7 we'll join both groups together :) both Wednesday & Thursday groups will be working in a surprise sessions: DESCARGA DEAKOCAN on Tuesday, 26 April and Wednesday 1 & 8 June, 8- 10pm :) The joined sessions will help to stimulate the progress and draw ispirarion from each other. 8 June session, 8-10 pm will help us summarise the progress of the current courses and celebrate our journey together :) Location for both courses: The O2 Centre Finchley Road, it is right next to Finchley Road tube station, on the A41 Finchley Road, the postcode- London NW3 6LU. The studio is located on the first floor, where the VUE cinema is. Once you get there turn left, the studio is located on the left side at the end of the corridor leading to Gymboree.
