New Horizons Dance with OSARA

He says, “This journey will be for new horizons, new beginnings, and new inspirations; slowly and gradually letting go of all our old ways, releasing, dancing through the unknown & surrendering to the unknown. Let’s dance and welcome in change and new possibilities. Everything is changing. Nothing is the same anymore. New horizons are coming. Musically, I tend to tune in a day or two before the dance when selecting tracks for the dance. I also tune in with a bit of the astrology by Kaypacha. It's the summer and the Sun is in Leo. A strong fixed fire sign of expression, creation and light. So the vibes will be high and we'll be celebrating summer with extraverted and outgoing energy. When preparing the set a day before, I may discover or feel drawn to completely unexpected energies. So I will honor whatever feels right in the moment. I also love to give a little flavor of music and the energy from here in the UK - music that can be deep, dark and sacred. I love playing for Ecstatic Dance because I can play the most eclectic range of music. I love all genres. I love having the opportunity to play such a wide range of genres in one dance journey. It's epic. Travelling far and wide through music and dance. I love how every journey is so completely unique with the possibility of exploring new territories. I love holding space for people to transform, express, connect, love, laugh and recognize the true power of embodied presence and their true power within. For me, Ecstatic Dance is about being fully comfortable with myself. Being totally welcome to dance and move with all the parts of myself, all of my light and shadow, being in connection, feeling home, remembering who I am truly am, connecting with all layers of this reality and this universe, expressing freely and celebrating the miracle of life through dance!” OSARA is the DJ and founder of Ecstatic Dance Bristol.
