Ready to join the Salsa community? Come learn to dance. We make it simple and fun. Social dancing is all about meeting new people whether it's in class, at local socials or social events around the world. Learning Salsa will change your life. It's crazy how much it will. Here at Manly Salsa we help you learn the absolute basics in steps, timing, rhythm, body movement, dance etiquette... we cover it all so you don't have anything to worry about. We've got you covered. That's level 1 anyway. From there we slowly start building up the challenges over the 4 levels which can take 1 to 2 years to progress through depending on your consistency. What you need to know... ✅Solo Dancers & Couples Welcome ✅Adult Classes (18 to 60+ age range) ✅5 Week Courses + option to drop-in ✅$110 Per Course or $30 drop-in ✅Level 1 is for absolute beginners Tuesday Salsa Schedule: Level 1 @ 7:00pm - 60mins Level 2 @ 8:00pm - 60mins Level 3 @ 7:00pm - 60mins Level 4 @ 8:00pm - 60mins Show Team @ 9:00pm - 60mins Student Social @ 9:00pm - 30mins We also have Thursday Bachata classes. Learn more about Bachata on our website. All Levels Explained: Level 1 - Absolute Beginners; learn basic steps, right turn, cross body lead and open / closed positions. Level 2 - Minimun experience 10 classes; Learn our key moves from Right & Left Turns plus travelling turns (inside outside turns) and Walk Through and Enchufla. This level contains 3 x unique syllabuses (3 x 5 week courses) everyone needs to complete before moving up to level 3. We teach 1 x Cuban Course and 2 x LA (linnear) Style Salsa Courses. Level 3 - Minimum experience 25 classes; All Level 2 elements plus complex variations of the moves listed above as the core plus much more variation or turn patterns and complexity of musicality, styling and social dancing. This level contains 4 x unqiue syllabusess (4 x 5 week courses) everyone needs to complete before moving up to level 4. Level 4 - Minimum experience all levels 1 to 3 completed. This course is a fluid course that does not have a specific syllabus like previous courses but rather covers different styles, influences and shifting focuses throughout the year. Show Team - This is our annual Choreography Salsa Course which runs for 10 weeks from Tuesday 18 August finishing on 20 October to have our team perform that weekend Friday 23 October at the Sydney Salsa Mambo Convention which is a 3 day Salsa Festival - Australia's largest and most exciting Salsa event. Student Social - This is a 30 minute non-stop Salsa social for our current students. We highly recommend joining this every Tuesday as social dancing really consolidates your learning and it's fun spending time with your classmates playing with the moves you've just learned.
