New York Tango Social Club

Admission: $10, $12 with dance lesson Dance Lesson (beginner) starts at 7:30 M or R train to 36th st (Queens) WE'RE BACK! NYTSC is officially nomadic. The beautiful Meridian 23 has closed, and we've decided to try out a new, amazing, hip, beautiful space at the Paper Factory Hotel! WHAT: New York Tango Social club is a unique event. During the night we alternate between a live music jam session with a traditional social dance. Adam Tully leads the musicians (bring your instrument) and Batt Johnson hosts the dancers (bring your dancing shoes). HOW: We also explore the rich cultural world of tango. Throughout the night we feature 'Tango Profiles' about key musicians and dancers from tango history. We share the amazing anecdotes that make up the story behind the music and dance that you already love. WHY: Because it's fun! We believe that throwing a party is the way to connect the worlds of music and dance. Dress up a bit! We have a full bar with beer, wine, mixed drinks, and great appetizers. Plus, there's a RAFFLE.
