Newcomer Track at the 2017 Atlanta Swing Classic

The Atlanta Swing Dancers Club is excited to add the Newcomer Program to the Atlanta Swing Classic 2017. If you are headed to a dance event for the first time, this event may be just what you are looking for! The Newcomer Track is designed dancers that have limited west coast swing experience. Participants should have a base understanding of six and eight count timing as well as the core movements such as the sugar push, right and left side pass, whip, and the tuck. In the Newcomer Track there are nine classes just for you! The instructors are all nationally and regionally recognized dancers helping to form and shape their home communities. The classes will first focus on learning and applying strong fundamentals and techniques. The classes will progress and apply these tools to foundation movements and variations. The discounted Newcomer pass (only $80) allows the pass holder to access the Newcomer Track as well as evening workshops in the main ballroom. Plus it grants you admission to the big ballroom at night and during the contests!
