Greetings dancing spirits! Offering you a gentle invitation in this moment to breathe a little deeper and let go a little more, as a way to become more here, in conscious presence, as awareness. We are awakening as we go, fumbling toward ecstasy, returning to presence again and again. As the mind wanders back into habit, the body wanders back into habit, too. In this offering of space and community for embodiment practice, I invite you to deepen your allowance of your own weirdness, and others' weirdness, too. I don't believe any of us has all the answers, or all the questions, so let's try to open more to the moment of your body's wisdom. Let's dance it out ! I trust your body's wisdom! We will begin with a meditative live instrumental by WIndhorse flowing into a DJ set for the first hour. Then D'LUSH (aka Mark Tanaka) will be dropping some very beautiful music-craft and beats to ignite the dance floor. We'll complete the sound journey with a gong sound bath followed by a delicious melodic live instrumental for integration of the senses, mind/body/spirit. As we cascade through the dark winter nights, toward ecstasy on the dance floor, please respect the space, each other, and our sacred journey together. Respecting each other includes consensual touch only--for obvious reasons. Sexiness is welcome, wild is welcome, respectful is welcome, awareness of others is welcome, yes. Nonconsensual touch is not welcome, by definition. I celebrate your empathetic awareness. Your sacred journey is welcome, and to help ensure a relatively safe space to unfold: no booze, shooze, or talking on the dance floor. This is a place where we can connect deeply through dance, with ourselves and with others when mutual. This is a Dana-Based (dah-nuh) event which means there is no obligation to pay an admission fee. It is a generosity-driven interchange. I do this for the loving expansion of the dance community and the larger ecstatic dance movement. We do gratefully receive donations. For those who wish to contribute, the norm is about $12 to $15 (with no minimum no judgment, and as much as you feel called to give).
