Non Traditional Contemporary Dance Partnering: Weight, Reciprocity, and Ease.

Through guided explorations, participants will engage with weight-sharing, counterbalance, and creative lifts, expanding their ability to work with a range of bodies and movement styles. Emphasizing momentum over muscular effort, we will deconstruct conventional partnering roles and discover new pathways for movement that prioritize mutuality, creativity, and biomechanical ease. This workshop welcomes movers of all backgrounds and abilities, valuing an inclusive environment where all bodies can find their own unique partnering language. No prior partnering experience is necessary—just a willingness to engage, experiment, and explore the possibilities of shared weight and space.
