Notte Nera Festival Workshop Performance 2015

(Versione IN ITALIANO sotto) As a modern Ulyses, we live in longing to return to what is more precious to us: our bodies. In order to live in our hyper productive consuming society, we sometimes drift away from ourselves As a distracted sailor, we suddenly realise looking back, that we cannot see the land from which we have departed... In this retreat we will take a pause to get in contact with ourselves and others, to get in touch with the Nature that surrounds us and with the sea that nurtures us, decolonizing our body, that intimate place we long to return. We will apply elements of contact improvisation, tai chi, tango, voice and movement to connect to our intimate selves. We will enjoy a couple of days in the sea to dive into our aquatic fluid nature. Experimenting also with the language of light and shadows, we will develop our own creations, alone and in groups. We will tell a story that will allows us to look upon us from a distance and recreate ourselves. The final performance will be shared at La Notte Nera Dance Theatre Music Festival, in the medieval village of Serra dei Conti, Italy. (www.nottenera.it) Note: It is not mandatory to participate in the final performance There will be also time to take our trips into nature, to read and write and be within us. The Farm house La Ragola, (www.ragola.it ) near Senigalia, Italy, will host us and offers us: an ample studio and roofed galleries to dance and sing, bedrooms for 2 persons + breakfast for 25€/night/person or 20€/night/person if we are more than 12 participants. He has condensed into this system his experience in different fields and art forms ranging from Visual arts, Theatre, Bioenergetics, Somatic Movement and Linguistics. As a performer, choreographer, artist or teacher you can find him at Contact festivals in Freiburg and San Francisco as well as Fabrik Potsdam Tanztage in Germany, at C.I.R.A in Strasbourg or Alchemie Tango in Prague. He also collaborated on a research about expression in Contact Improvisation at the Berlin Free University. She works with projects that bridge the disciplines voice and body, theatre, visual art and music. She has been invited to teach at Smash, Berlin www.smash-berlin.com , Hlasohled Voice Centre, Universitat der Kunste in Berlin, at Universitat fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Wien and at Fabrik Potsdam, and has toured extensively in Europe with her workshops. A volte, per potere vivere in una società dell'iperconsumo produttivo, ci allontaniamo da noi stessi. Come un marinaio distratto, guardando indietro improvvisamente, ci accorgiamo che non riusciamo a vedere la terra da cui siamo partiti. Vogliamo prenderci una pausa per entrare in contatto con noi stessi e con gli altri, con la natura che ci circonda e con il mare che ci nutre. ... decolonizando il corpo: quell’intimo luogo a cui vogliamo ritornare.... Attraverso elementi di contact improvisation, tai chi, tango e la voce in movimento approfondiremo la connessione intima con noi stessi. Ci prenderemo un paio di giorni in mare per sviluppare la nostra natura fluida acquatica. Sperimentando anche il linguaggio della luce e delle ombre, costruiremo le nostre proprie creazioni, da soli e in gruppo. Racconteremo così una storia, quella che ci permetta di riguardarci e ricrearci. La performance finale di gruppo sarà condivisa nel festival di teatro, danza e musica a ”La Notte Nera”, nel borgo medievale di Serra dei Conti, Italia. Inoltre, ci sarà spazio per camminare per le valli e le colline circostanti, per leggere, scrivere e prendersi il proprio tempo. L'agriturismo La Ragola, (www.ragola.it ) nei pressi di Senigallia, nelle Marche, Italia, ci ospiterà e ci offre: un ampio studio in legno, gallerie coperte per esercitarci, ballare e cantare, camere per 2 persone + prima colazione per 25 € / notte / persona o 20€ / notte / persona se ci sono più di 12 partecipanti.
