NY LATIN HUSTLE w Ava & Rodolfo at Deja Vu Salsa Social - March 20th!

Our workshop Series Continues!!! This time we bring Bay Area dance pioneer, AVA APPLE & her partner Rodolfo Guzman of Symbolic Dance & Fitness to Deja Vu Salsa 1st & 3rd Fridays! Ava & Rodolfo will teach a mixed level class in NY LATIN HUSTLE! Workshop starts at 8pm, only $15! Early Hustle was created in the early 70's and did not even have the name the "Hustle" yet. It was a 5-step count with no turns. It was created in the South Bronx and was originally done at house & hookie parties, and basements club dances in the South Bronx. By 1974 it became known as "Spanish Hustle" and in 1975 the Fatback Band made a song with that name. It was also known as the "Latin Hustle"; The Hustle has continued to grow and evolve - come learn this awesome dance that can be danced to CURRENT Pop/Rock/House/Top 40 music! Ava has been dancing the NY Latin Hustle for over 30 years and it is her favorite partner dance. Also at 8pm, Beginning Salsa with Ricardo RicaSalsa Tellez Giron and Tianne Frias Food and Drinks!
