NY Movement Chicago Auditions!

NY Movement Chicago, a new branch of New York Movement, is holding auditions! The Chicago team is directed by Adrian Tenorio and Stephanie Wolfson. Audition info: *Monday, July 24th at 8pm *Audition registration 7:30-8pm *At Dance Connection, 3117 N. Clybourn. Door code is 7394. *Audition forms will be available at 7:30pm. Attendees are encouraged to be there at early to fill out their form, get their number, and warm up. *Audition fee is $5. Please bring cash or send in advance to Stephanie via Venmo, Chase, or Paypal at [email protected] Adrian Tenorio is among the most talented and well respected Latin dancers to come out of the Midwest. He is experienced in: Mambo(On1/On2), Cha Cha Cha, Colombian Folklore, and some training in Jazz, Ballet, Modern, and African dance. A born dancer, Adrian has a natural flavor combined with various styles and technique that he has merged to call his own. As a part of the world-renowed Descarga Caribe Dance Company, Adrian trained and developed under internationally acclaimed dancer/instructor/choreographer Sekou Mcmiller. After gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience, Adrian went on to travel the globe with notable dance partners Cristina Zavala and Kimberly Rivera. His performance quality and choreographies quickly gained him notoriety in the National and International dance scene. Adrian has performed and conducted workshops in countries such as Angola, Canada, Curacao, England, France, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Spain, Turkey, and countless cities in the U.S. Accomplishments: * 6th Place, 2016 World Salsa Summit (Male Solo Division) * Chicago Cubby Bear Salsa Open Champion 2009, 2010, 2015 * 2nd place, 2010 Curacao International Salsa Tour Competition * 2nd place, 2009 Nacional 27 Salsa Competition * 2008 Nacional 27 Salsa Competition Champion * 2nd place, 2006 International Hustle and Salsa Competition Stephanie has been dancing for nearly 30 years, from ballet to ballroom to bachata. She travels nationally and internationally performing and competing, with her teams and pro-am partners placing in world competitions. Her other teams, including La Fuerza Chicago, a cousin of NYMovement, have performed at countless local events and several congresses and international events, including in Montreal, Puerto Vallarta, and Acapulco.
