Soon after, captured by the storytelling capabilities of dance movement, Ramon expanded his studies into hip hop and funk; he eventually went on to choreograph an award winning hip hop piece for MacDonald’s Dance Crew at Mira Quien Baila. Ramon has been a principal dancer in F&F Dance Company, and in La Fuerza Dance Company, traveling and performing merengue, bachata, and salsa nationally and internationally. He also currently co-directs the Bachata team at Bronx-based Creative Movement Dance Studios. In the dance community, he is known for his explosive presence and dynamic body movement on stage, musical and creative choreography, and an accessible yet challenging teaching style with kids and adults alike. ABOUT IVA: Iva Iordanova is the founder and choreographer of Las Generalisimas. She is the first Bulgarian female solo artist to qualify in the top 10 of the World Salsa Summit (2020 in Miami). Iva is one of the very few Bulgarian instructors who's recognized internationally, teaching classes at world-renowned events like Candela and Salsamania in New York City. She's been personally coached by world champion Denisse Cambria and has also been a part of Maria Ramos' official bachata team. Iva has trained in Broadway Dance Center, Alvin Ailey Studios and Adelante and has performed at numerous events both in Europe and the US. Her teaching approach is focused on inner body awareness, spaciousness and energy control.
