NYC JT Swing Team Audition & Info Session for Season 13

We'll start with an "info" Q&A session to learn about the team, commitments, etc. then for the "audition" you will learn a few 8-counts of choreography. This gives you a small sample of what our weekly or biweekly classes / rehearsals are like. ABOUT THE TEAM: Learning choreography is a great way to improve your timing, technique, and teamwork while gaining performance skills to boost your confidence. All dancers auditioning will be expected to already know, understand and execute the basics of West Coast Swing and be able to dance on time to music. For JT choreography, dancers will be expected to learn advanced rhythm variations, one footed spins, dips, ducks and partner-tricks. REHEARSAL INVESTMENT: A minimum of 4 hours a month with the team (biweekly on Thursdays). Totaling 24 hours of learning/rehearsal time from April to August. And its highly suggested you practice at least 4 hours a month by yourself or with a team member. FINANCIAL INVESTMENT: Due by March 30 Option 1: $650 per person (paid in two payments of $325) Option 2: $550 per person (paid in full) Option 3: $500 per person (paid in full, sign up with a partner 1 leader & 1 follower) COSTUME: Dance Shoes Black Pants Black JT Swing Teams T-Shirt (purchased separately) PERFORMANCE: We perform locally 4-6 times, but you'll also have the opportunity to perform with different JT Swing Teams from other cities/countries at dance events regionally, nationally and internationally, if you're willing to travel. Please note: This is NOT a competition team. JT Swing Teams are designed to improve your leading/following, dance and performance skills with choreography. Jordan Frisbee & Tatiana Mollmann are two of the best WCS dancers in the world and getting the opportunity to perform and share this dance with them is truly magical!
