OFF THE SLOT: 2 HOUR WORKSHOP At Ceroc, our dancing is built around dancing on the slot.... whether you picture it as a train track or a tightrope. But dancing doesn't always have to stay there. Re-directions can add flow and creativity. Travelling moves can make your dancing feel bigger and create more opportunities for musicality. The key of dancing off the slot is not winging it. We want it to be intentional, not accidental. This workshop is all about understanding the principles of off-slot dancing. You'll learn how to recognise the signals between lead and follow, when it's appropriate to leave the slot, how to travel with purpose, and, most importantly, how to know when to return to your original slot or establish a new one. By understanding why you're moving off the slot, rather than simply hoping it works, you'll become a more confident, adaptable, and connected social dancer.
