Ogap'oge Ecstatic Dance w CodeStar

Our brilliant Durango DJ CodeStar will be lighting up the dance floor with us this week and Elise Headley will round out the journey with a crystal healing bowl sound bath. This weekly ecstatic dance is a safe, respectful, inclusive, family-friendly space for self-exploration through movement. There will be dope DJs from New Mexico and abroad bringing a variety of different musical styles every week. 'Oga is the Tewa word for olivella shell; p'o, the word for water; and the suffix ge specifies location. Olivella shells came from the gulf of California and were used in trade all over Turtle Island. 'Ogap'oge, olivella water place, was a long-time hub for trade on Turtle Island.
