April 18-20/2025 promises to be a warm and wonderful weekend of expansive friendship, tango learning, dancing and entertainment, and best of all, the screening of Oliver’s new film, I Had The Heart, on Sunday, April 20. Oliver is known globally as a lovable guy who makes people laugh, a bundle of joy who lights up a room with his zest for life and lighthearted attitude, excellent tango dancer and teacher with especially articulate ways of imparting the dance to others. Oliver Kolker was born in New York City and grew up in Argentina where he started dancing 26 years ago. Oliver’s degree in business has been an important foundation to his multi-faceted career as a celebrated Argentine tango dancer, teacher and performer, screenwriter, music and film producer, director and actor. The most important festivals and communities in the world, including in Russia, the United States, France, Italy, Turkey, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Ukraine and China have welcomed Oliver as a tango teacher and performer, for many years partnering with Luna Palacios and Silvina Valz. He is the creator and producer of Pelando Variacion, the most demanding tango competition on the tango circuit worldwide, which has been exported to the United States, China and Greece. His film career spans the past 15 years and boasts accomplishments with 8 films, two of which are about tango; Fermin and his new release, I Had The Heart, both of which have enjoyed fabulous reviews.
