Online Bachata & Salsa 5wk Series

We are Back!!! Thats right, In lak'ech Dance Academy is back with our Online Bachata & Salsa 5wk Series, starting Sunday July 12th. We will be offering four courses: Bachata Beginner Level, Bachata Intermediate Level, Salsa On2 Beginner Level, Salsa On2 Intermediate Level. Check out the course details below, and see which one fits your dance goals. 1 ) Bachata Beginner Level: Whether you’re new to Bachata or you’re looking to strengthen your current skills and overall knowledge of Bachata, you’re in the right place. We will dive into the history of Bachata, it’s origin, the instruments used, rhythmic timing and of course, the fundamental steps, turns, and twists to Bachata dancing. Our goal is for our students to end the series feeling motivated and confident to dance, with a deeper understanding and appreciation for Bachata music. 2) Salsa On2 Beginner Level: In this course, Students will have the opportunity to learn at a beginner pace for those who have never danced Salsa On-2, or for those who only are familiar with Salsa On-1. Students will be introduced to Salsa hxstory & Musicality (Clave & Tumabo), basic timing, 15 basic fundamental steps and basic spin technique. Our goal is for our students to leave with an understanding of Salsa hxstory, musicality, body movement, styling, timing, footwork, and spins. 3) Bachata Intermediate Level: [Partner Needed] Take your Bachata dancing to the next level with our Intermediate Level Bachata Series. This 5-wk Series will focus on building strong and confident Social Dancing skills. We will learn how to let the music lead our dance, by exploring movements to the three different Bachata rhythms, as well as to specific instruments. Participants will learn Foundation Building Partnerwork Technique. Students will learn a variety of different Leader & Follow movements within Partnerwork. Footwork and syncopations will be learned and integrated into social dancing. 4) Salsa on 2 Intermediate Level: In this course we will cover more intricate footwork, drills and technique that will help take your dancing to the next level. We will also work on afro-body movement and isolations in order to expand of range of motion. Support and learn from a queer femme/POC instructor who provides a safe space to learn from a place of authenticity. ******How do I sign-up? PLEASE READ CAREFULLY********** 1.
