The Ontario Latin Arts Festival is a unique two-day event that celebrates the culture of Latin America on Saturday, July 12th at Mel Lastman Square and on Sunday, July 13th at North York Civic Centre in Toronto. This flavourful festival will showcase the finest Latin music and dance found in Canada, along with featured films, literature, photography, art and dance workshops. www.ontariolatinartsfestival.com
Attendees will enjoy live entertainment by top performers such as Cassava Latin Band, one of Toronto's most popular salsa bands; Eliana Cuevas, an award-winning singer and songwriter, Chantel Collado, a new rising Latin diva; Ritmos y Danzas del Peru, a dance company with roots in Peruvian spirit and energy; Giovanni Ruiz, with his masterful play of various flutes; Cabildo Dance, a folk dance ensemble; Tuna Lazos de Amistad, a big ensemble performing traditional music; Jaime Elizondo, who preserve the rich heritage of Mexico through music; Pablo Gutierrez, a master of the Spanish Guitar.
There will be a showcase of Toronto’s top Latin dance schools including Dami Dance and 219 Dance Group and Latin American Films by Alucine.
Traditional Latin food will be available from a variety of vendors. Additionally, several businesses will be on-site educating the public on the Latin culture and commerce.

The North York Civic Centre, 5100 Yonge Street, Toronto. Sunday, July 13th, 2014 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The 2014 Ontario Latin Arts Festival is organized by The Hispanic Canadian Arts & Cultural Association, a not-for-profit organization that celebrates and promotes the Hispanic heritage found in Canada.
