⚜️INCLUSION FUSION is a social dance gathering focused on connection, co-creation and play with partner dance. No partner is necessary. Consent Culture focused. This is a space of welcome, invitation and balance! Won’t you join us for the coziest inclusion-fusion dance, filled with snuggly embraces and rich gooey beats? 🪩 This week is a Special OOEY GOOEY MICRO MELT addition. This themed night is focused on slowing down and melting into close embrace connection. Less fancy steps and more presence, attunement, body rolls, and micro movements is what Fusion Melt is all about. GUEST TEACHER: ✨Anna Ostara✨ Anna's background in movement and healing arts will teach you deep listening, balance, consent and permissioning practices that will open your dance to fun elements that keep you in the moment and at one with the music. Some micro, weight sharing and massage therapy 💝. CLASS: 💫MICROCOSMIC ORBIT : for deepening YOU into your dance. This class will focus on discovering, caretaking, and fortifying your life forces - so you are showing up to shared dances with a solid, beautiful love for your sovereign self of subtle energies. We will touch on breath and balance while we we step into slowing w a y d o w n . This class is inclusive to all bodies, their capabilities, and forms. We will also practice some Compassionate COmmunication as we talk about the many agreements we enter into when we partner dance. SO WHAT IS MICRO MELT?? Melt is a type of partner dance inspired by Micro, Zouk and Kinetic Intimacy partner dance. This partner dance form focuses on connection, subtle listening and awareness, and what results is an amazing dance that people can get completely lost in! It sometimes appears from outside perspective that two people are simply standing, hugging, occasionally expanding into more undulated flow. You might see some people connecting with their breath, and others isolating rib baskets. Other times you may see energetic or massage contact creating fluid movement through the neck and spine. 🫶🏻MICRO MELT VALUES: Micro Melt values connection, deep listening and creativity in intimate spaces. Some suggested etiquette for the Micro Melt floor inspired from Mu & I in Seattle: ✨Check in with your partner about the embrace or frame, possible injuries, lead/follow/switch, etc. ✨Due to the close-contact nature of the dance, we encourage asking each new partner (embrace, distance, connection, etc) to ensure that everyone has a fun and comfortable experience. If you are uncomfortable with the embrace or any action occurring in the dance, it is your responsibility to communicate that to your partner or to change the embrace. ✨A Welcome environment & enough safety is our number one intention.
