No previous dance experience is needed, and we rotate partners throughout the class. Lambada is a dance style within Brazilian Zouk that is growing in popularity worldwide. Known for its smooth circular movements, playful energy, fluid partner connection, and infectious alegria (joy), Lambada can be danced to both slow and upbeat music. Step into a world of Brazilian rhythms, movement, laughter, inspiration, and community! 🌱 BEGINNERS COURSE Our 6-week beginners course provides a solid foundation in Lambada. You'll learn basic steps, turns, posture, rhythm, partner connection, and musical timing. The course also creates a strong base for related dances such as Traditional Zouk, Bachata, and West Coast Swing. We focus on: • Strong fundamentals • Body frame and technique • Musicality and timing • Comfortable partner connection 🔥 INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED COURSE Prerequisites: You should already be familiar with the fundamentals of Lambada, including movements such as soltinho, wifi, lateral, diagonal, and chicotés. In this course, you'll: • Refine technique and body mechanics • Explore creative variations and styling • Deepen your understanding of flow and circularity • Discover different interpretations and expressions within Lambada At least one year of regular Lambada practice is recommended. ──────────────────── 🏫 ABOUT BRAZOUKA STOCKHOLM Brazouka Stockholm is the oldest dance school in Stockholm dedicated exclusively to Lambada Zouk. Since 2008, we have been committed to high-quality teaching, strong fundamentals, musicality, and connection. We are proud founders of the popular summer Zouk evenings in Vasaparken and organizers of Sweden's first-ever Lambada Festival, held in 2023 with international instructors, workshops, and social dance events and many other dance events along the years. ──────────────────── 💰 PRICES ★ Early Bird (until July 31): 1,150 SEK ★ Course Fee (from August 1): 1,250 SEK ★ Drop in Workshop: 230 SEK ★ Social Dance: 70 SEK 📅 Course starts August 23 and runs for 6 weeks. Each class includes 60 minutes of instruction plus 60 minutes of social dancing.
