Opening & Closing the Embrace, at Bienvenida Milonga

Why open a cozy close embrace? Perhaps to accommodate some beautifully fancy footwork, or to allow more wiggle room for twisty spiral movements – or just to refresh and find a different kind of comfort. You don't need to dance in close embrace to take this class – it's more about building awareness of the cues you and your partners might make to signal what you wish for in the embrace in that moment. We'll practice a menu of options in shaping the embrace and then in changing it – and of course we'll indulge in some of that fancy footwork that makes opening up more than worth it! The fancy footwork will be adapted to your level, you, reading this :) In other words, I've got moves to inspire every skill level, and will show you the ones that suit you well. 6:30-7:30 ~ Tango class: changing the embrace while you dance 7:30-8:00 ~ Practice time 8:00-midnight ~ Bienvenida milonga!
