No previous experience is required. You’ll learn the fundamental steps, rhythm, and partner connection, with a special focus on understanding the “contratiempo” timing that defines Son. Ariel López and Lexi Krewinkel will guide you through the basics step by step in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere – helping you build a strong foundation and experience the unique feeling of Son on the dance floor. This ticket includes 6 hours of classes (3 hours per day on Saturday & Sunday) and entry to all parties. Location: Injoy Fitness, Halderstr. 29, 86150 Augsburg. Improver Level: You already have some experience with Son – maybe you joined the Son Beginner level last year or attended a few introductory workshops. You’re familiar with the basics and have danced in “contratiempo” before, but you don’t feel completely confident yet. This level is perfect to strengthen your foundation, improve your timing and body movement, and build more confidence on the dance floor. We’ll go deeper into technique, musicality, and expand your repertoire step by step. Intermediate Level: You know how to dance in contratiempo and feel mostly confident dancing in this rhythm. You’ve already taken many Son classes or workshops and have a solid foundation – maybe even more. In this level, we’ll focus on refining your technique, deepening your understanding of the Son rhythm and cadence, and expanding your repertoire with new figures, concepts and style. It’s a great choice if you’re ready to grow beyond the basics and polish your dance. Unique Advanced Level / Master Formation: This level is designed for dancers with solid experience in Son and a high level of confidence dancing in contratiempo. You already move comfortably within the Son language and are ready to go deeper. Here, we’ll focus on fine-tuning your expression, enriching your movement with musical and cultural background, and sharpening your technique through detailed feedback. In this intensive bootcamp, you’ll work with fellow dancers to create a dynamic stage choreography – to be performed live on Saturday night. Show Dress Code: Women: Polka dot dress and dance shoes Men: Black suit, white shirt, dance shoes (black & white or white & black) Level Requirements: You are confident dancing on the contratiempo and have at least an intermediate level or higher. A good sense of body movement, solid leading & following skills, and previous experience with Planchas and Tornillo technique are an advantage.
