Sunday September 8th, 2013 Fort Hunt Park (Site A) 8999 Ft. Hunt Rd Alexandria VA 22308 Start time: 1pm Picnic ends: 5:30pm FREE Salsa Potluck Picnic Party on Sunday September 8th! Invite your friends, and friends of friends to this party, everyone is welcomed Including your children and pets. This is a Potluck party, so bring something to eat or drink that will be shared with others. Activities other than dancing include: Volleyball Bring your cards ~ Spades, Uno cards, Chess, Checkers, Dominos, etc... Frisbees Footballs Weather: The Party will be shaded by a large pavilion so the party will be Rain, Shine, Earthquake, Avalanche, or Apocalypse! etc doesn't matter, the show will go on! LOCATION: Fort Hunt Park Area A: Area A features a large pavilion with picnic tables that can seat up to 350 people, open field space, a softball field, and 2 volleyball courts. Restrooms adjoin the pavilion. There is also a small playground. Available parking with 155 parking spaces. Parking on the grass and curbside are prohibited. (Carpool if you can) Getting There: Fort Hunt (VA) 8999 Ft. Hunt Rd Alexandria VA 22308 FORT HUNT PARK: DIRECTIONS * 8999 Fort Hunt Road, Alexandria, VA 22308. * Off of the George Washington Memorial Parkway, five miles south of Alexandria. * Exit is marked as FORT HUNT PARK * Go up the hill. Park entrance on left. * Turn right at the T-intersection and follow Loop Road to permitted Area. * Note: The George Washington Memorial Parkway is also variously referred to as the GWMP, the Mount Vernon Highway, and, in Alexandria, as Washington Street.
