In recent years, this event has really come into its own with two superb stages and a reputation of high caliber musicians and artists. This year is no exception, with an incredible lineup of local and national bands, even one from Canada! Friday August 15th local reggae powerhouse Indubious and Celtic-Australian Rock band, Brother are headlining. Saturday continues with the eclectic sounds of, Dogon Lights (with members of Hamsa Lila), the high-tech sounds of Liberation Movement, and Alcyon Massive with his special blend of backwoods hiphop and Oregon roots reggae. Sunday winds up with another amazing array of world music, including Jaya Lakshmi and Ananda, Fanna-Fi-Allah, and Delhi 2 Dublin. There is also be late night dance with Dragonfly on Friday and Random Rab on Saturday. Many other artists perform as well. For one weekend in August, Jackson WellSprings is transformed into a Peace Village, with three full days of transformative and diverse musical styles, an artisans’ market, a visionary art show, healing sanctuary, and delicious, nutritious, reasonably priced, gourmet vegetarian meals and snacks. ** The rejuvenating waters of Jackson WellSprings, including a hot mineral soaking pool, full size swimming pool, sauna, and steam bath will be available late into the night*. This is a family friendly event where children will enjoy Kid Village, with all kinds of fun activities. The festival also features a Healing Sanctuary providing the opportunity to experience diverse forms of massage and other healing arts; the Intuitive Arts Pavilion with divinatory arts; Yoga; Ecstatic Dance; Workshops; Altars; Ceremonies; Late Night music on the Casbah Stage; and Friday and Saturday Late Night Dance in the Community Room. * Unlimited use of the WellSprings pool and spa facilities over the weekend is included with the purchase of a Weekend Festival Camping Pass, a Weekend Festival Everything Pass, or available for a modest cost at the event, as an add-on to other ticket options. ** Food is available for purchase in the Conscious Food Court at Peace Village Festival.
