It’s time! Here is your chance to dive in with us and learn the beautiful, the one and only, Brazilian Zouk. Join us for a three week series to learn the fundamentals of Brazilian Zouk. Each class is an hour and 15 minutes, with a 30 minute social afterwards. The progressive series covers the fundamentals of Brazilian Zouk connection and movement.
What is Zouk?
Brazilian Zouk, also known as Zouk-Lambada, is a partner dance style popularized in Brazil. Zouk originates in Lambada and is traditionally danced to “Zouk” music made popular in the French Caribbean. Today, Zouk is danced to all styles of music including hip-hop, R&B, pop, new age, and more. It involves a strong connection that allows beautiful circular movement, graceful turns, and head movement that is captivating to watch and blissful to dance. it is an approachable technique to anyone that has done partner dance, or any other movement style… Including walking :-)

What do you need to know?
- No partner necessary, but being friends
- No dance experience necessary
- Positive attitude and an open mind are required
- We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes and shoes that will allow you to spin and slide gracefully across the dance floor
