The core idea of this program is to gather main technics & movement principals of contact improvisation and go through them one-by-one: starting with the most simple & fundamental and learning more and more challenging and exciting ideas. 🔍🕵️‍♀️This method based on the concept of deduction (from general idea to particular action) and it opens wide possibility to have more than just set of skills but a map which will help you to acquire new skills even after the workshop. 🗺What do i mean by map: i created special symbols to visualize each movement principal we can encounter in contact improvisation. These symbols help to memorize techniques and apply them in the dance. ✈️And yes, this intensive includes flying techniques on each level including shoulders. As a child Ivan practiced acrobatics & football. From 2005 was practicing yoga & meditation. At the same time, Ivan started to learn different schools of western and eastern philosophy and spiritual teachings. Since 2007 to 2009 studied martial arts. Ivan has been trained in different modern dance styles: butoh, hip-hop, popping, house, jazz funk, contemporary dance, tango. Other movement practices that he studied: Ideokinesis, Axis Syllabus & Movement Culture, Flow Arts & Physical Theatre. He has been facilitating Contact Improvisation in Russia, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, China & South Korea and organizing international courses and residencies.
