POETIC BODY: Japanese Butoh Dance and Contact Improvisation Workshop by Sasha Dodo 7,8 April in Pyramid Yoga Centre TIME: 7 APRIL SAT: 10:00 - 14:00 8 APRIL SUN: 17:30 - 21:30 DESCRIPTION: In this two days we will go true understanding of the nature of dance, play with perception of the movement/body/space by poetical images in solo and contact improvisation, taste different quality of connection and communication, merge into the meeting to enter each dance like known/unknown alive poem what is perform itself moment by moment, turn heart to the absence as presence, contemplate the inner landscape of meanings, aims and motivations of the body of dance, listening and melting to the place where dance begins. Contact improvisation together with Butoh Japanese dance gives an infinitely complete perspective with exhaustive understanding in order to stop focusing too much on external forms and depend on teachers and techniques, open up your own dance and learn from this dance every moment with pleasure and joy, while without much effort continuing to improve, making body/mind more and more flexible for any kind of transformations and to the beauty itself, which longs to be met every moment. Still, there is no difference between life and dance, workshop is open for everybody. Take a notebook for notes, come earier we will start in time. // You can continue this process in the theatre lab the lost place, which will result in a performance. Also I can work individually to create a performance separately from the group process, it can be solo / duo or a group piece. NEXT EVENT: 13-15 APRIL THEATRE LAB THE LOST PLACE The outcome of this 3 days lab are “the lost place” performance, composition of living poems that exist in a lost place, told true japanese butoh dance, contact improvisation, sufi whirling and music organized in interrelation with light and imagination of the viewer, directed by Sasha Dodo.
