Pop-up Workshop - 1 Ft Spins w Larisa and Za - Saturday, Feb 7

Back by popular demand, we're doing 2 workshops on 1 foot spins for west coast swing this coming Saturday, February 7th 2026 at Starlight Dance! - 1pm to 230pm - Intro to 1 Foot Spins - 245pm to 415pm - Advanced Spin Variations - 415pm to 5pm - Open Practice Time Class breakdown: -- 1pm to 230pm - Intro to 1 Foot Spins -- This class is perfect for anyone brand new to the spins, both leaders and followers. We will break down the basic entry to the spins, how to sustain multiple spins, and some simple exits. The only requirement is that you know your west coast swing basics, push pass whip and tuck! -- 245pm to 415pm - Advanced Spin Variations -- This class is for those dancers already comfortable with the basic one foot spin technique. We'll be going over pull turns, push turns, hand changes, speed changes, shape variations, and some adventurous entries and exits! Pricing - - $25 for one session - $40 for both - The practice time is free to anyone taking the classes Venmo @starlightdancesd or sign up at the front door! Please sign up with a partner so we can keep numbers even. We will rotate in class but it is always an option to stay with your partner if you feel more comfortable! Feel free to sign up for both! If you are brand new to the spins and want to take the second class after the first one, we ask that you audit the class with one partner and don't rotate in the class. If you aren't new to the spins, the first class will still be a great refresher and we will refer to much of the fundamental technique in the second class!
