By popular request, European tango champions Liz and Yannick are back in Portland June 19-24, 2019. They will be teaching and dancing at our local milongas, performing at Norse Hall and Tango Berretin, as well as doing a weekend of workshops and private lessons. Each workshop is $25 All 6 workshops for $100 Friday, June 21 Workshop #1 - 4:30 - 6:00 PM The beauty of tango: The Embrace and moving in unison (ALL LEVELS) This class will cover the essentials of tango: posture, embrace, dance connection, and walking. Suitable for newcomers wanting to learn how to dance tango as well as experienced dancers looking to polish their technique. Workshop #2 - 6:15 - 7:45 PM Floorcraft: Tools to keep on dancing on a busy floor with figures you know (INTERMEDIATE) Saturday, June 22 Workshop #3 - 1:00-2:30 PM The fun in tango salon: The Giro (Molinete) (INTERMEDIATE) This is an intermediate level workshop on technique and possibilities with the "giro/molinete". Workshop #4 - 3:00-4:30 PM Enrosques and Agujas for leaders and followers (ADVANCED) Sunday, June 23 Workshop #5 - 1:00-2:30 PM Ganchos and Voleos for crowded places (INTERMEDIATE) Workshop #6 - 3:00-4:30 PM Figures with effect Sacadas (ADVANCED) PRICING FOR WORKSHOPS Each workshop is $25 All 6 workshops for $100 *******PRIVATE LESSONS******* Liz and Yannick are available to offer private lessons in Portland.
