About this Event

"Prepare for the Stage (Salsa Edition)" is designed to get you ready for placement in one of our upcoming Partnered Salsa Performance Teams and for getting the most out of your next (or first!) performance team experience. But it will also be useful in succeeding with ANY audition or performance team. Your instructors will be the organisers of the world-famous World Salsa Solo competition. If you have been dancing partnered Salsa and have any interest in trying performance, or if you've performed before but want to improve, this 3-part workshop is for you. Your instructors Carlos & Elli (of Latin Steps, World Salsa Solo & Brisbane Latin Dance Festival) have themselves performed on stage hundreds of times and their students have won countless trophies under their guidance. You are in good hands. Carlos and Elli loooove Salsa, Mambo and Cha Cha Cha. They love creating and teaching epic choreographies, with a focus on great technique, musicality, sabor, and of course loads of fun. Dance Culture and Latin Steps are joining forces again to offer this opportunity to not only our students but to the larger Salsa dancing community in Brisbane. ** Times and dates: ** This is an immersive 3-part workshop held over a total of 4.5 hours. Part One: 12:15pm Sunday 23rd June 2024 (1.5 hours) Part Two: 12:15pm Sunday 30th June 2024 (1.5 hours) Part Three: 12:15pm Sunday 7th July 2024 (1.5 hours) ** Is this for me? ** If you have been dancing partnered Salsa and have any interest in trying performance, or if you've performed before but want to improve, this 3-part workshop is for you.
