Following on from the success of our joint birthday party with STRANGE DAZE, PROHIBITION are back to bring you another speak-easy inspired party! What is Prohibition? Prohibition was started in March 2013 at The Nook, a small speak-easy style venue in the heart of Chorlton on the outskirts of Manchester. We had people dancing on the tables every month and 1 year later we have now moved our parties to the City Centre! We are all about the sounds of the 1920's & 30's with a modern twist... Vintage clobber is encouraged..think great gatsby!! Gentlemen polish your brogues, and don your trilbies and ladies dig out your very best flapper dresses and get ready to throw some vintage shapes on the dance floor as we party PROHIBITION style! Emma bought her first set of decks in 2006. Since then, she has gone on to to play for some of the biggest clubbing brands in the UK including Lowdown & Dirty, Insomniacz, Illuminaughty and Manchester's original electro swing night The Wall Street Mash..She has warmed up the crowd for some of dance music's biggest DJs, including the Godfather of house, Marshall Jefferson, breakbeat heavyweights Plump DJs and our favourite cheeky pair Dutty Moonshine.
