PROJECT CONNECT Performance Project with Akemi Kinukawa

Sundays: April 27th, May 4th, 11th, 25th, June 1st, 8th, 15th, & 22nd 3:00pm - 4:30pm Level: Intermediate to Advanced Requirement: Fluency with Lindy Hop moves including 6 count, 8 count and Charleston. Some experience with air steps and fast dancing is a plus! Students will learn a fast paced, high intensity choreography for our show, which is an Interactive dance theatre produced by Project Connect. Students, if interested, may join the cast and be a part of a public presentation later in the year. Project Connect brings an interactive dance theater to underserved communities including nursing homes and NYC public schools showcasing authentic Lindy Hop while educating the history and cultural contexts of the dance. If you are passionate about dancing and performing, and would like to dedicateyour time and energy to share the joy of dancing with underserved communities, we highly recommend trying out this workshop! This class will be taught by Akemi Kinukawa with some of the Project Connect company members!! Must Register with a Partner by April 26th. Pricing: $350 In Advance (by 4/21) / $390 (after 4/21)
