Project NFT Christmas Summer Solstice EOY Neolonga

Our 15 years of Project NFT event was PERFECT! Huge numbers which filled up the room, lots of banter and socialising, electric atmosphere, delicious homemade cake courtesy of multi talented Dermot the doorman, not too many extra ladies, and faces from the past and present. It filled my heart with happiness to see people smiling and laughing whilst on the dance floor, and really getting into the dancing with some creative moves, in other words feeling free to play and explore and even invent some new moves. It was all about relaxing, feeling joyous, connecting with the music and going with the flow. Which is what neo tango is all about. Having all 3 DJs in the one event really showcased the individual style of each DJ, and the breadth and depth of the neo tango music which we love so much, and gives us the freedom to be really creative with it. We had some wonderful feedback from the night. One of the leaders emailed "Last night was the best milonga I have attended in years. It was an example of what a milonga could be but very rarely is. Congratulations to everyone involved in its organisation. I had a wonderful night and may there be many more!" Also on the night, one very experienced follower who unbelievably had not known about us until recently said "I can't believe I have missed 15 years of Project NFT as this is the friendliest milonga I have ever attended". Just keep on coming everyone and we can continue to have more wonderful nights. After our last event 2 drink bottles and a brown face towel were left behind. If they are yours please get in touch. We will also bring them this Sunday to be claimed. This Sunday we have 3 reasons to have another celebration - Christmas is nigh upon us, the Summer Solstice will be at 2:02am and it is our last event for 2025. I hope many people can make it to come together to enjoy all 3, and please dress in theme to reflect any of these occasions - Christmas: dress in green, red, white, santa hats, Christmas headbands and accessories, santa suits, and elves welcome too ;-), for the summer solstice, dress reflecting nature (flowers in hair, floral prints), the sun (yellow) and magic, and for the end of the year think glamour, sparkles and metallics. With such a varied choice to celebrate the 3 themes there is something that everyone can wear to get into the spirit 🙂. I said all my thank yous in the last notice, but just quickly again I would like to thank Dermot, Yury and Campbell for continuing to be part of the Project NFT family and supports to lean on, and all of you who have attended Project NFT this year, especially our steadfast regulars whose faces we can count on at most if not all our events. We pray for more dancers to attend more regularly in the new year. Our DJ this Santa summer solstice Sunday is DJ Campbell, whom I'm sure will be playing some Christmas cortinas and maybe even some festive songs. Project NFT runs on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from 7.30pm to 10.30pm, and is $20 (cash only).
