Project NFT World Compliment Day Neolonga

Our Valentine's theme event worked out very well in that we had an even leader to follower ratio for the majority of the night, meaning everyone was appropriately coupled up for dancing 😍. In fact in the first part of the night we had more guys 👏, despite a good few of our regular men missing on the night. It would be fantastic if we could always have an even ratio, but life isn't always perfect. A new addition at our last event was a very powerful industrial fan, to compliment the air conditioning and 2 other fans we regularly use to try and cool down the space on a hot night. March 1st is World Compliment Day. Let's face it, the tango scene can be quite brutal (OMG the stories I have heard from so many people are horrible, only the tough seem to stick it out). Let's reverse this trend by achieving the aims of this day - to create the most positive day in the world by providing happiness and appreciation by giving genuine compliments to at least 3 people this Sunday night. Simply asking someone for a dance, especially someone you have never danced with, is considered a compliment. Research suggests that receiving a sincere compliment can activate the same brain regions as receiving cash, fostering stronger, more positive relationships in personal environments. World Compliment Day is intended to counter negativity and increase personal happiness. Couldn't the world and the tango community only benefit from this? Our DJ this Sunday is DJ Yury (don't forget DJs love compliments too ;-)). Project NFT runs on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from 7.30pm to 10.30pm, and is $20 (cash only).
