Project Swing at Midland Swing Open 2016 is a completely free of charge introductory workshop into West Coast Swing.
West Coast Swing originates from California and is derived from Lindy hop. It has a distinctively elastic look and encourages improvisation from both partners whilst still dancing together.

The workshop wll start at 11am. Feel free to arrive slightly early the car park will be busy so allow time to find a space.

Intorduction to the 2 basic Timings in WCS, the 6 count & the 8 count.
Learn the 3 pattern concepts of WCS. Push, Pass, Whip.
Learn basic Lead & Follow concepts in WCS
The workshop will be taught by James Bartlett & Zoe Rigby who are both established WCS dancers and teachers from the Brmingham area.
