Borrowing from various bass music genres, KR3TURE creates a unique signature sound that is soulful, sexy, and sublime, making bodies move and spirits lift. Live performances include improvisations on instruments like tenor sax, guitars, flutes, harmonica, and many others, making him a phenomenal one-man band. PULSE organizers loved dancing to KR3TURE last season at a regional fusion dance festival, Harvest Fusion. He has also toured with Wren LaFeet of Cocrea, performing for dancers' enjoyment. We are so stoked for this blossoming local dance scene to connect in movement inspired by KR3TURE's live instrumentation! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ ⭐ About our instructor, Rebecca Berman ⭐ Rebecca loves mixing movement modalities and sharing in partnered co-creation. In class she offers vocabulary to communicate through physical attunement, and shares approaches to explore improvisational rhythmic musicality. She has been involved in various movement projects over many years, and has been teaching Lindy Hop & swing dance since 2007. She is co-founder of PULSE Partner Dance Collective, was the head of teaching staff of Groove Juice Swing in Rochester, NY, co-founder and artistic director of the Flower City Follies (jazz dance performance troupe), and is forever a student of many movement forms including Bellydance, Contact Improv, Bachata Sensual, and more. 🌸🌱 We encourage everyone to participate in the lesson preceding the social dance, as it helps us connect with each other and drop in to a cohesive collective space in which to launch into social exploration & expression for the rest of the evening! You'll be invited to connect with many different partners, learn something new in movement, and start to build familiarity in friendships in class.
